So dark that Firefox tells me the server couldn't be found!
Of course, TOR stuff was originally developed for US Intelligence purposes, so no one knows if what you do with the browsers is genuinely untraceable

Nope. Last time I was on it years ago it was extreme porn, drugs worse severe animal cruelty.
I really don't see the point in it back then. Maybe things have changed?

@sailor: thats what I have been interested in. The DARPA connections etc. fascinating. The PGP encryption is interesting as well. Technically I'm not particularly plugged in yet its totally accessible. I would be interested to see how it develops in the future.
@lucus: yeah thats defiantly a big part of what I have discovered so far.
@ratty: So far, though I'm not looking for that kind of stuff obvs, its a very intersting place to dicuss. Kinda like the internet in the mid nineties before it all changed. There are social networks etc.
@archie: If you use the internet but ignore the dark web you live on an iceberg and ignore the bit under the water line. I am just leaning this. There is a lot that people want to do that does not involve crime or exploitation that they dont want openly available to any corporation with enough money. Privacy is a choice and its one that it's easier than i had perceived.

Privacy, in all aspects of our lives is not a choice, it's a right.
