Lude Generation

The time has come, unfortunately the old girl has to go.
After a failed restoration attempt following a head gasket failure, I am forced to face the fact that she is too far gone to save, so I'll be taking some pics today to post up a massive garage clearance.
I'll be posting all the stuff that is already off the car/was going to be fitted - including bnib stuff like belts, filters, pumps etc, right up to a bnib air conditioning kit/system (to have be fitted by a dealer originally)
Later - in a week or 2 I'll start to remove more goodies and posting those up too - again, loads of gems like fully restored & poly-bushed all round suspension (barely used - only had her a week after restoring the suspension before the HG went ), half mast antenna, wind deflectors etc..
I'm really sad to see her go, but hopefully she'll help all of you guys out.
If I don't put a post up in the parts thread tonight, it'll be up tomorrow.
I'd like to thank you all for all the help and patients you have shown me while I tried to sort her out.

you could just buy a new engine for like £300 and do a straight swap

I already have a donor engine - a 2.3 as well! Unfortunately as bad luck would have it I also discovered some serious rust issues along both sills.

Sad news Doug as youve put a fair bit of effort into the ludes
im having to consider the same with my BB4 which is due an MOT next month...

i know someone who is looking for front&rear polybushed lcas - so would be interested in them

seems your 4th gen is like my project one keeps wonting more and more just keep it do like i am sink lots of money into it 4th gens are getting rare now , not sure if this is the right place to call dibs but would like the wind deflectors please ,
