Hello,

Ok, I have paid a deposit to this guy for an imported SI with the non vtec dohc f22B engine. This car has not been registered in the UK before, but has the paper work ready to be so in theory, it is a £55 fee and some tax, mot and insurance.......

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Prelude ... 20c5914bff

I am having it for the interior and wheels, swapping out mine probably and then I am left with a car which causes me a dilema. Is it worth registering it for the sake of resale value?? or just passing it on for spares again like he has, or what... It is Low low miles so must be use to someone. I hear they are good engines for a turbo conversion due to the low compression but that isn't my game.

I havn't seen many of these SI sell and have kept a keen eye on the market for the past coupel of years, so this really leaves me stumped! to be fair it's asking price is my budget for an intior and wheels so I just would like to get as close as possible to breaking even.

Any thoughts would be grand!! has anyone registered an import before?.. Keep in mind because it is over 10 years old it doesn't need the big test, just an MOT.

Best regards, William.

haha fair enough. If it can go to a new home as a whole car it would be ideal, such a low millage engine must be worth something to someone... But otherwise I am happy to break bits so can start a dibs list :p

It does yeah, but this is a 5th gen autobox - so tiptronic and made of a combination of butter, lard and chocolate ;)

I know a lot of peopel swap the engines out in the accord for an h22, so I would initially say yes.. can check the gear box code etc soon.
