Guess what parts Honda still do for a 1g
Just before Christmas I went into my local honda dealer to enquire about parts availability for my 1g.
It's not in the Honda EPC (that starts from 2g - surprisingly enough yes it goes that far back) so they had to contact Swindon HO to try and get part numbers.
Today they came back to me after getting the part numbers from Swindon and then doing a parts search.
So time for a pointless (but fun of course) poll...
You can select 2 of the options - which ones do you think are still available from Honda?

Re: Guess what parts Honda still do for a 1g
I’ve no idea about the parts availability, but I have a dull fact about Honda Swindon. In the 80’s, when there were plenty of 1Gs needing parts, Windmill Hill Garage had the Honda Franchise. For whatever reason in the 90s they started selling Citroens and Fish Bros (colloquially “Fishy Fannies”) took on the Honda franchise.
Have you tried JP parts, I used these as a reference when I needed to get parts for the Ody. http://jp-carparts.com/honda/cartypelis ... pe=PRELUDE

Good point Owen
So...
I'm a bit surprised at the results tbf - I would have thought that oil filter would have been the clear winner (since Honda have used only 2 types of oil filter since 1980s up to present day!).
I think there might have been some skulduggery going on in the back ground... I did wonder whether I should post up the part numbers or not but decided to try the honesty of the forum members and go full geek by posting it (probably a mistake )
Anyway, the answer is...
Yes, I am really flabbergasted that the oil filter is different and that they can't supply one - that's the one thing I was sure they would still do and I did rather expect some of the brake stuff to still be available.
Sadly not, though
Nissan actually beat Honda in their parts supply for older vehicles - I can still get master cylinder overhaul kits for my Sunny B11, for example.

I haven't done too much digging into it yet, tbh (other than the master cylinder - on which, plenty of options out there new) but I don't envisage it being that much of a struggle.
A lot of the mechanicals I expect to be shared with the Triumph Acclaim, which means... There will be literally tons of bearded men out there with shops full of parts!
