Quite a bit of the usual service item stuff is "reasonably" available aftermarket - items such as timing belts, filters, brake pads, clutches etc. Correct brake discs, drums, shoes etc can be a bit more of a headache though.wurlycorner wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 4:02 pmI haven't done too much digging into it yet, tbh (other than the master cylinder - on which, plenty of options out there new) but I don't envisage it being that much of a struggle.
A lot of the mechanicals I expect to be shared with the Triumph Acclaim, which means... There will be literally tons of bearded men out there with shops full of parts!
In terms of Acclaim shared parts - in actual fact it is very little, mostly due to the fact the Acclaim was essentially a 4 door Civic and the 1G Prelude was Accord based. Brakes, front hubs/knuckles etc for example are smaller than the Prelude
Some bits do cross over between them but honestly not very much.
Sometimes you need to think outside of the box for parts such as headlamps - Bedford Rascal are the same fitment here
There are some good specialist sites than can supply some of the more obscure parts, a couple of examples below
https://www.cmsnl.com/ - Not the cheapest for sure but service is great and handy OEM parts drawings/part numbers
https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ - Useful and decent service on some harder to find parts.
