...and not for the obvious reason, before anyone goes there!!

Went here http://www.theclimbingacademy.com/tca-bristol yesterday, saw an induction offer on Groupon so booked in, great fun and get 2 free return visits.

After those 2 visits, we'll see whether I carry on!

Nice one Adam, been there a couple of times, it's a nice setup. But that's only bouldering.

You should come and check out some proper climbing at:

Been doing it for a year and a half now, every week. Progression at the beginning is awesome, forgot how good starting a new sport is. It's great! Fitness wise it tests you.

It is good fun. I've just started again after having a pretty good go a dislocating my knee a few months ago. Frustrating to start with, as you just want to be back where you were before you stopped.

Good stuff though, and you feel it afterwards

You do feel it indeed! Especially having a break. I feel the difference if I miss one week now.

Oh and Rob, the one I posted is in an old Church too! Assuming it was another looking at where you're based?

Tell me about it, it's the first time I've done this sort of thing in years, and still my arms, shoulders and chest muscles are aching!!

I know you say you go to the other site, but if you fancy popping down with me when I go then feel free, as I can take 2 guests with me.

That's cool, I was meaning to pay my £10 for membership next time I go. But I'll give you a shout anyway, next planned visit.

I have to admit though the bouldering place is quite intensive as you pretty much climb the whole time, where as indoor climbing with rope you take a break between belaying a friend/partner going up the wall.
