How are we doing gents

This may sound like a silly question but is it an alternator or auxillary belt i need? My belt snapped which causes the crank pulley to come loose. I have a new pulley now but not sure which belt i need

Regards

It’s the same thing, just called different names.

Most important is getting the correct length, which will be determined by if your car has air conditioning or not.

Do you still have the old belt at all? It should have some numbers on it...

No I don't mate - it snapped on the motorway lol. Car is a 99 Motegi with air con. If anyone can help out with the length that would be great

Any decent parts place will know which belt as it's a standard belt. Only time non standard is if a/c removed.

Just checked for you, mine is 1045mm with air con, 6 rib.

As above parts store (Honda) could confirm, or an old trick is to wind a piece of string through the pulleys and measure it.
