There's a lot of Prelude love out there.

I think they are an understated gem. A lot of people think Honda's start and end with Civic's and Integras. Preludes seem to be the outsider in Honda circles.

Those people don't know what they are missing.
I totally agree. I first bought a 4th gen back in 2005 mainly because it was a cheaper way into vtec, vs say an EP3. Once I had it though, I absolutely loved it and have owned and driven newer and more expensive cars since but always end up coming back to Preludes. When I bought the Type S I expect some people thought I was mad spending £7k on a fresh import, I nearly went for a DC5 instead, so glad I didn't. They are great cars as well but I am really enjoying the ownership experience of the Type S and having it tucked away in the garage and only using it on dry weekends etc. if anything makes it even more special, each time I take it out, it feels like an occasion :D

Would love a 4th gen as a daily to compliment it, I might do that if and when my current daily gives up the ghost (Lexus GS300), but I suspect if I got a 4th gen again I would end up pampering that to and wouldn't want to daily it

Preludes are there to be driven daily. Rack up those miles with a grin from ear to ear.

A mate of mine had a Focus RS, for track days, which he has just sold. Took him to an event at Williams Grand Prix HQ last year, including a visit to Frank's museum. On the way home, steamed past him in v tec, although he got his own back later in the RS. Text later that night from him- That exhaust sounds awesome.

Get yourself a Honda I said!, and smile, smile smile.

You wouldn't say that if you had my commute......all motorway and stop start traffic. Totally pointless having anything other than a comfy automatic in my opinion. Also as I work in Greater London, my work has no car park so it is dodgy street parking, no way would you want to leave anything you cared about around there!

My first Prelude is a 4th EDM BB1 in the end of January 2007, and I have put on 200 000 km so far, and still driving it. After thatI 've had another 20 cars, all 4th, and I am still keeping 5.

I would get an FK8 as a daily maybe, if work ever sorted the car parking situation out. The looks don't inspire me, but it sounds like a very capable machine and it's still a Honda :)
