Copied from another forum, how real the fake email is I don't know, but worth making people aware
Hi all,
Just been sent this round at work so thought I'd post it up just in case anyone ends up receiving an email from the DVLA:
Keep a look out and feel free to spread the word to anyone you knowIMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE SEE BELOW
Operators to be aware of a bogus driver licensing e-mail
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is warning drivers about a bogus email in circulation that claims to come from them. The email has ‘Update Your License Details’ in the subject line and asks drivers to confirm their licence details via a link. The email contains the following message:
We are currently upgrading our database and all drivers are required to update and verify there driver's license details. To complete your license verification with us, you are required to fill out the form in the link below.
<Fake link>
Drivers that refuses to upgrade his or her details within two weeks of receiving this verification email will lose his or her driver's License and will have to take a fresh driving test.
We sincerely apologies for any inconveniences this might have caused you.
Thank you for your co-operation.
