So why a Prelude?

The cars are obviously getting on a bit now, but still we want them. What are your reasons?
For me it's mostly the 4ws and the looks. I like a car I look over my shoulder to and admire when walking away from it, and the Prelude has this from many angles. Also the reliability, and the sense of speed in VTEC.
I've not driven a 4g since I was about 20 (in my mid 30s now) but I remember that brief drive (test drove a 92 bb1 but it was beat up) like it was yesterday, and I've always checked out ebay now and again, and when I see on one the roads i'm like hmm for sale? lol

Everything about a JDM 5G gives me an erection including those headlights. That's my reason.

A bold statement

If the 5g had the same front end as the 4g, or the JDM DC2, it would look so much better for it. Same with the DC2, the Jap front end looks much better.

I couldn't afford a Impreza at the time and I could see me putting a S14 200sx backwards through a hedge so the lude was my 3rd option
That was 7 years ago and never not had at least one of the little beggers on a drive in some shape or form since then

my first bb1 lude fell upon me when i was 19, swapped a beat up fc3s rx7 for it as i couldnt afford running costs, fell in love with the lude but was in a crappy job so couldnt afford to spend a penny on it and eventually got offered a scooby for it which id have been silly not to take! ever since then id always missed my lude like crazy! got my first bb4 3 years ago but again, didnt even have a job so couldnt spend any money on making it "mine" so just didnt really click with it, again got offered a scooby for it and took it!
my current lude was intended as a run about while i saved for an rx8, as soon as i got in it i knew i was keeping it, got a decent job now so have spent....some

money on it and slowly making it my own, never gonna sell it unless something drastically changes in my life and i love everything about it! even when something needs fixing on it i love it
i especially love the sheer amount of more powerful, expensive cars ive destroyed in it so far! the look on civic type r owners faces is incredible when they realize they aint catching you!
and thats why!

so much car for the money, can mix it up with ctr's, tegs and similar cars, with a bit of tweeking can keep up and out strip scoobs and even porkers
i paid £250 for a 200bhp car with most mod cons, more than alot of new cars

It's not just me who has a strong attachment to them then

I guess i'd still have one now if the one I bought in 2005 wasn't a banana deathtrap under the Cypress Green paintjob and full cream leather (previous cat C that went sideways on crossover

)

i had an a3 quattro that went sideways when i accelerated, hit the brakes, parked etc! wasnt til i went to sell it that i discovered it was cat d and was pretty much comprised of many many different a3's as a result!

Shocking ain't it. I've always said a write off should remain a write off, unless the owner themselves buys it back from the insurer.

well the annoying part is that when i bought it, me and my mrs went to collect it and she was 8 1/2 months pregnant and the prick still sold me it! some people just have no morals at all when money is involved
