Lude Generation

Has anyone noticed that the outbreak of rain recently or currently crossing Southern England has left a residue of Saharan dust all over cars and windows. It must of originated from an area West of Africa and streamed North in the upper flow to the UK. Both mine are absolutely plastered with it.

I have hosed it off but am reluctant to wash and polish them yet in case we get another helping!

Yep, I seem to get loads of it. Cleaned the CRX last week, the following day it was covered in fine sandy dust

I assumed someone had been jet-washing something filthy in front of all our cars a work when I went to go home in the Aerodeck yesterday . Then when I got home, my Prelude was just as filthy! I took pictures of my car again when I arrived at work this morning to post on here to see if anyone else had had the same. Seems I am not alone then









I'd obviously wiped my windows clean this morning on the way to see a customer. Then at 8 o'clock we had a little drizzle. Before 10 o'clock I went back to my car and the wind-screen was completely covered again!

Has anyone tried that Mantis waterless car wash stuff? ..if it works, you could keep a bottle of that and a microfibre cloth in your car for such occassions

"Sunroof" is the generic term used to describe an operable panel in a vehicle roof which can let in light and/or air. "Moonroof" is a term created by Ford in the 70s, yet is now used generically to describe glass panel inbuilt electric sunroofs.

If you're not referring to that, I have no idea what you're talking about

At this rate, with the frequent drizzley showers we're having, there's absolutely no point trying to stay on top of it.

I meant the bit where you said "but your moonroof appears to have slid back your roof". My moonroof slid my roof back?!

Would you prefer "but your moonroof appears to have slid back along your roof"?
