I'm sure most of us have found that to buy that perfect car, you often have to travel a long way, which sucks if the car isn't as described. So, if anyone wants a car looked at, I will check it out on your behalf. I live near 25 miles East of Inverness.
If anyone else wishes to cover their area, please feel free to add your details. If we could get one of those online maps where your pin your details up? That'd be champion, pet.

see the only problem with something like this is that everyone has different opinions of things! your idea of "age related marks" may be totally different to my idea of "age related marks" and something like that is quite hard to decipher over t'internet or the phone to someone you've maybe never met!
having said that it is a good idea non the less!

Yeah I know what you mean, just take quality pics of any scuffs & marks etc. I'd quite like to do this as a business, i'm just not sure if there is any money in it.

The main problem with this is the level to how people look at the cars. When I go look at a car, I spend about 45 minutes to an hour checking it over. I doubt many people go to that level, and I wouldn't be happy if I got someone to have a look at a car for me and they didn't check it all out for me to my standards.
The other issue is if someone looked at a car for someone, and overlooked something, and the person bought it, I can see a lot of blaming going on.

Checking it out isn't to confirm a car isn't without faults, it's just a quick look to see if there is anything blatantly obvious, such as rust, dents etc

I'd assume that if you were buying a car, you'd want to be checking it out yourself. This would, I assume, be an initial check (and better pictures) to save you travelling 300 miles to find you've been chasing a dunger. If you travel to see it, you can spend your hour then
