You've obviously seen this one on ebay then Nickyboy? I was literally just about to post it up for you

needs a few minor bits of attention to bring it back to mint, but a potential bargain to be had there if you don't mind travelling for it

No, i'm just going to wait until i've seen the car up close. He has priced it at £1800 on facebook, but there is no reserve on eBay. Thing is, I will be on the motorway when the auction ends
What do you think is a fair price?

All dependant on that rust on the arch really. The graze on the bumper and dent on the bonnet can be sorted easily enough in time. You can source a new horn button I'm sure and OEM rear lights are plentiful on ebay (although those are probably the best looking lexarse lights you'll ever see on a lude

). So if that rust really is minimal and something you can easily sort/stop yourself, then you'll be good to pay up to around the £1300-£1400 I'd say.
Your bartering can use the fact that you will eventually need to get that bumper and both rear-quarters (if it is both arches) resprayed as it's a metallic paint, so won't blend well. That
could easily cost over £500-£1000

I need to ask about the engine rebuild aswell, i don't fancy driving to Inverness if the engine is a fresh rebuild.
I'll also take a magnet for the arches, but fingers crossed, the import year was 2006 so it could all be good in the hood.
Already checked insurance, over £500! My 07 Golf GTI Edition 30 is only £300

Kind of average really. How old are you?
Oh yeah, I forgot to say ask for all the details and reasons for the engine rebuild. All should be well if it was done professionally. It was obviously done because the owner cared for the car at least
