Sleepy little town

Hi all,

I'm still not done with the restoration of my 1G Lude, but I'm already preparing for my next mission - the move to the UK. I'm looking for some advice on where I should go. As I have always lived in the country here in Hungary I'd like to stick to this tradition and find a nice village/town with 'relatively reasonable' employment possibilities (I plan to start my own business once established, so I'm not looking for anything special job-wise), yet not much crowd, not a lot of noise, a little space for a bitta' privacy, etc. It can be anywhere between Ramsgate and Ullapool...
I was looking at google earth and spotted places like Perth in SCO, or actually visited a few places Carlisle (which I quite liked) and Inverness to name some of the bigger towns but I'm open for any ideas you guys might have.
Cheeahz'!

Sounds good for a start. Thanks Craig!
Anybody else? What about Wales? Or no one lives there anymore except Richard Hammond?

Hey dude. The Eastern Region is doing OK. I am in the South East, but Essex in general has LOTS of rural areas heading mid to North, then you are into Suffolk.

Many start up businesses and networking opportunities.

Thanks, Jay!
I need more ideas as I'm still at the point where I'd just lay the map of the UK out in front of me, throw a dart at it from 6 feet away and go to where it lands. :)

If it's rural you're after, then there's definitely more room further north! I'm in Dunfermline, which is placed for an easy commute to Edinburgh/Perth and is within easy reach of Glasgow/Dundee. I'm also 5 mins drive from Knockhill race track :D

Scotland is in fact hugely tempting...
Apart from the weather. :)

If I had the choice, and I was restoring a Honda, I'd probably live at the end of PAW's road...

Actually, the Cotswolds are nice

If I was moving to the UK, it'd be Scotland :)
