ace , mid 80s a guy in australia chopped 2 end cylinders off a merlin engine and built a 5l v twin bike, when interviewed by the bike mag that was featuring his creation he was asked why a merlin engine, his answer - there lying around all over the place over here
I bet that thing rattles like a monster! epic though and if you can do it then why not hehehe

no it doest, he shows this by placing a can of beer on the end of one of the pots while its running, apparently too 150 hours of work just on the crankshaft alone its now nitro injected and supercharged, going for a land speed record

thats what i love about guys and cars/bikes theres always someone who will do what cant be done just for the hell of it
