I've only just got around to registering with my gas and electric supplier online and just noticed I'm quite majorly in credit! As I understand it, I'm within my right to ask for that money back right?

Does anyone know the rules with regards to how quickly they have to give it back to me? They would have been making interest of of this as well, so am I expected to get that back to, or do I just take that as a loss?

There's no option to claim it back online, so I'll be ringing them tonight once I'm home. I would just like some information to back up my claim in case they try fogging me off with timescales/policies etc.

I was in credit and they dumped all the excess back into my bank acc. Are we talking a lot in credit? as you'll use more in the winter?
