Well, Jan bought the Accord Coupe. Here's a shot of it yesterday. (It's already back home in Germany)

Image

It became the tenth Honda car in the family in 11 years:

2 5th Gen Preludes BB5
1 4th Gen Prelude BB1
2 Accord Type Rs CH1
1 Accord Euro R CL7
1 Accord coupe CD7 (?)
1 Integra DB9
1 Civic coupe EJ6
1 Civic 4-dr saloon EG5

I don't think we ever had more than four between us at any one time.

Perhaps. But it's easy to accumulate cars when they're relatively cheap. Those days seem to be on the wane now.
Still, we know that at least half of them are still runners, so that's not a bad thing.

Can you place them in a list starting with the most desirable, and which ones you wish you had kept.

Or too difficult?

Not quite.

A 5th Gen Prelude was our first Honda four wheeler and is fondly remembered for its ability to set off car alarms - Jaguars and Citroens a speciality.
The second 5th Gen is the most fondly remembered. It took us to 17 countries and was the best touring car we've ever owned.

Our second Honda was the wingless Accord Type R. That, too, went abroad a few times, but somehow didn't flow quite as well as a Prelude. The second ATR was a machine. That's the one now in Germany with Jan waiting for some extra disposable income.

The Integra's tally is eight countries so far. I love its rarity and quirkiness but it is only an AWD Civic in different clothes, after all. I believe the Civic Coupe would have served us just as well if it hadn't been pranged.

The jury's still out on the Euro R. There's no denying that it's a very capable car, but it doesn't grab me like the Preludes did.

I didn't drive the BB1 that much (it was Jan's). I remember it as harder than a 5th Gen and possibly a touch quicker on the B roads. The Accord coupe is also Jan's and I haven't been in it enough to judge.

As for the 4-dr Civic, all you need to know was that I bought it for its engine!

I'd like one too.
Not that these ten would be in it at the same time ... or where would I put the (add your own list)?

Thanks.

A nice 3rd Gen is an itch I haven't yet scratched. Manual with 4WS would be ideal, especially if I could find someone who'd take the Integra in p/x.
