I've just been quoted £600 for mods declared insurance with admiral. 27 with 6yrs no claims and no points in the last 3yrs. That sound like a decent price?

I'd check with the brokers on here man. They offer club discount etc. Tell them your current quote and see what they can do.

Brokers on here, usual places, sky, a-plan etc although with this renewal the two guys I spoke to at Sky they seemed to be fairly uninterested and well, just not a great customer experience. They matched the price but I didn't feel like they were bothered about my custom, given how long I've been a customer it's not great. Of course could have just been the guys I talked to but if I get other people next year and the attitude is the same I'll probably go to A-Plan who were much friendlier and helpful with looking into prices on current mods etc.

Just my 2p 8-)

I've just renewed with Chris Knott. Been with them for many years, always friendly service.

I'm 27, 7 years NCB, mods declared, £492 for my 4th gen. Is limited to 5,000 miles a year though.

Age has its compensations,(not many I grant you) But the Lude 4th gen JDM with all mods declared in my wifes name and full no claims(with me a named driver) £175 with Chaucer, Admiral decined to insure it. Me with the Soarer similar age got the Soarer with all mods declared(and my wife a named driver) £245 full no claims but they would not touch the Prelude.

I really don't know how these insurance companies come to the decisions they do. Perhaps Shiny could enlighten me and the forum?
