ok so hurricane sandy is now down graded to superstorm sandy and wasn't a hurricane at all infact its being referred to now as just plain old "sandy"
yes 13 people have been killed so far and a bit of flooding and wind damage but did my street make the world news when we had our "mini hurricane"

That branch from your roof liked getting it's picture taken eh? Sneaked into two of the shots!

i do believe your right, fire brigade turned up and got it down. then a guy from the council with a chainsaw and cut up the 60 0r 70 foot conifers that were through my fence into the garden along with half of my apple trees :(
the view i used to have of 5 conifers
Image

after the storm only 2 left

then they cut those down and now there are none

To be fair though the storm is 500 miles across and yes, 13 people died (so far). Just because its a relatively low number that shouldn't detract from the fact that people have died due to this weather. I think they have every right to maybe overreact a bit (not my words), considering how Katrina caused some chaos.
