dont know if anyone has noticed, but why has the avarage price of the nsx doubled in the last 12 months while the nobel m12 gto has lost about a 3rd :? there have been a few odd fluctuations in sports cars prices recently :?

noble is built to order so will never really be totally exclusive nsx's are no longer in production and the number of nice cars are dwindling and moving into people's collections.

Perhaps NSXs used to be under-priced and are now finding the right level.

A lot of the facelifts have been snapped up by overseas collectors due to Sterling depreciaton - most have gone to HK and Taiwan.

They are truely rare.

As a consequence, good pop-ups, particularlt NA2s have been dragged up.

There are barely 300 cars in the UK and they don't make :em no more.

It's an investment thing too - like gold, the price remains constant, the value of your squids is falling to to fiat money policy to deflate the gov't debt which is unsustainable.

The remaining NSXs are in firm hands.

If you want one, a request on NSXCB is your best bet.

Type-S preludes are rarer, hoping they will get up to £20K when I retire lol

:D

And like NSXs, many have been riced to buggery & abused, thus making the few unmolested examples even more sought-afterer.

But 'Ludes are far too numerous and doubly, misunderstood by the hacks & received-wisdom bar-room bores; so are unlikely to be worth much.

Nice looking NA1 on Pissedoffheads for little dough;

http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/clas ... 996/885884

There's really little difference between NA1s & 2s (the extra mass/refinement dulls the extra poke a bit) so you have to ask; are facelifts worth double the money?

Do remember to budget for eye-wateringly expensive parts though. And don't prang it - front closing panels will set you back ten large alone...
