There should be photography section.

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

There should be photography section.

As there are nice photographers on here (not including me), I feel there should be a photography section.

So if there any questions and need help we can ask. Mainly as I need help now.

Yeah then we can all have topics arguing film vs. digital, artificial light vs. natural light, who has the biggest lens, etc.

Good suggestion though Nitin (we needs a thumbs up/down emoticon too)

Happy to help with photography questions (although these days I mainly shoot landscapes rather than cars!). Have to be honest and say I'm not really up to date on the some of the latest gen gear, but technique tips I can happily provide.

You can see the kind of thing I do here - http://hairytoes.deviantart.com/gallery/ if interested.

Might be worth signing up to a dedicated photography forum though. Talk Photography is very good for beginners.

You need to take it out of auto Phil, on the dial to the left of the eye bit, put it on P.

Or

Hold the flash shut, won't do any harm.

Or

Push the flash button (to the left of the lens as you hold the camera) and rotate the main dial until the symbol (on the top screen that says how many photos you have left) changes into a flash that looks like it is struck out.

;)

Cheers man. To be honest I've been a bit slack with the old photography recently - my new lude is a good motivator for going on trips to picturesque places with lovely windey roads though

I was hoping there would be a section for Photography but there isn't one so I'm going to ask here for help.

I got a cheap studio light set up from Amazon that came with; three flash light on tripods, umbrellas etc. So every time my camera flashed the sensor would go ON and then it would trigger the flash on the the flashes. But I think there was something wrong on that day. The Flashes from those lights (Guns?) wasn't strong enough or it was happening to early or don't know.  So all the pictures came out just normal and nothing with a 'wow' factor. The only thing I could do what edit them on PhotoShop to make them look nice.

Here's what I mean. Random Family picture here, All flashes were going on but my camera wasn't able to capture it. It just came out normal.

The only thing I could do is edit them on PS late. :? Like this:

Do I need to set the camera in a specific way?? (different shutter speed etc?)

Tintin, the flash to right must have gone off, as there is a shadow to the left.

Thought about standing them in front of a darker sheet to lessen the effect of the shadows?
