everyone knows it's better than skiing, even skiers will usually admit that!

Skateboarding in winter = half your skin left behind and you don't even notice cos of the cold.
No idea about snowboarding though

I did about 10 years ago but then i got a house and got married and had children so it put a stop to it.
Did canada 3 times and a few european destinations. All good fun although i never got to a great level despite going every week

Skiing is easier to learn but you need more experience to look like a good skier than you do to look like a good boarder

you can pick up bad habits on a board quite easily so its best to have a instructor watching you for a while, then just get the hours in practice practice practice.
I went to the dry slope every week for a year before i even set foot on real snow

I've been snowboarding now for about 15 years or so, qualified instructor as well

great job, crap pay

Best perk is free access to the slope
Used to do the park tricks, the grabs, the rails, the pipe, etc... but I started to deviate away from that and got more into back country boarding, and off piste riding.
