Skateboarding in winter = half your skin left behind and you don't even notice cos of the cold.

No idea about snowboarding though :lol:

I did about 10 years ago but then i got a house and got married and had children so it put a stop to it.
Did canada 3 times and a few european destinations. All good fun although i never got to a great level despite going every week

I was getting it, but on my ass most of the time :lol:

its hard work, skiing does look easier

Skiing is easier to learn but you need more experience to look like a good skier than you do to look like a good boarder

you can pick up bad habits on a board quite easily so its best to have a instructor watching you for a while, then just get the hours in practice practice practice.
I went to the dry slope every week for a year before i even set foot on real snow :(

I've been snowboarding now for about 15 years or so, qualified instructor as well :D great job, crap pay :lol: Best perk is free access to the slope :D

Used to do the park tricks, the grabs, the rails, the pipe, etc... but I started to deviate away from that and got more into back country boarding, and off piste riding.
