It looks like a car designed by Italians in the early 1960's then kept alive for decades by Russians who traded the design for low quality steel which in turn destroyed the reputation of the Italian car company and caused them to build an entire generation of cars that have since rotted away to nothing.

Except that if you actually had a genuine FIAT 124 SpecialT 1600 in the 1980s, all the Chavalier & SeaArea sales reptiles just thought they'd been burned up by a Lada, which was funny.
