The Perfect Sunday Roast

Post by Donald » Sun Jul 24, 2011 5:58 pm

This may actually turn out to be a very boring topic, but everyone has different opinions on what makes a perfect roast, so what you lot sayin'?!

For me, a roast has to include broccoli & parsnips, they're probably the two best vegetables in the world. The meat would either be chicken or pork, and Yorkshire puddings are a must! Also the gravy needs to be made from the meat juices, it's just not the same otherwise.

Your preferences?

Please, no mention of spit roasting. ;)

Turkey, Pork and Beef, pile of yorshires, more spuds than Tesco and half a bottle of mint sauce! :10:

As long as it's a dead animal I'm happy

Best is 4 ribs of beef hung for 3 weeks, as long as it's raw in the middle, Pork i like well done, Lamb I eat but would never cook it for myself

Roast tates, anything else is a bonus
