Repair bandages usually work ok for a temporary fix.
Did you use plenty of the wrap wire to keep the bandage in place until it cured?
I have been looking for the type I used a few years ago. It had a square of very thin steel that was wrapped around and jubilee clipped over the top of the bandage. The bandage gave the seal while the steel wrap stopped gases blowing holes though it while cured.
If you get some shim steel or something, you could maybe recreate that system by using gun gum paste or bandage with a couple of jubilees.
Sure somebody will have a decent flexi pipe to sell you if you put it in the wanted section.

If the flexi keeps going it usually means you need to replace the front and back engine mounts.

Either that or like my 4g the UK downpipe has a straight flange but the decat flange is angled (JDM fitment).
The 2 will mate up no problem but puts a bit of unnecessary strain on the flexi which fails soon after....
Fortunately for me, Rich @ PAW is modding my downpipe with new flexi & flange so my system will be a true 2.5" from the downpipe 2-1 rearwards!!

Mine is complete JDM I believe, will double check the angles of the flanges when I take exhaust down next week thankschrismc wrote:Either that or like my 4g the UK downpipe has a straight flange but the decat flange is angled (JDM fitment).
