The little things.......

This year I'm planning on putting the 'lude back on the road on the 1st March.

However, I know the MOT is due soon, and so is the MOT for my daily driver, so I was thinking the same would happen as previous years and the lude would get pushed back a month.

So off I trot to find the paperwork for both cars.

MOT for daily driver expires 8th Feb, so I can put this in for it's new one next week and hopefully have a (formerly) green ticket by mid Jan. Excellent I think, 6 weeks or so to get the lude MOT'd and roadworthy, as well as spread the cost.

MOT for the lude expires 27th March!! Didn't realise I left it so late last year!! This means I can still tax it on the 1st of March :D THEN worry about the MOT!! It also means for the first time in 3 years after winter I can jump straight into the lude and drive it again without having to fanny about with repairs before I can get tax!!

Also means I should be able to finally take it to the London Tunnel run in March.

Happy new years day for me!

incidentally, that reminds me to say there's been loads about the tunnel runs on the news (evening standard and local tv) in London recently. complaints about noise from 'residents' and the local councillor wanting it made illegal.

Surprisingly (pleasingly) the police are taking a very balanced view and saying no-one is doing anything illegal and they see no reason why it should stop. They said they'll be there with a heavy presence to make sure people continue to behave next time "if we know about it in advance".

Yeah I'd heard about the news. Typical councillor jumping on a bandwagon to try and gain some support without understanding of the situation.

The police have always been made aware in previous years, and as said nothing that happens is illegal.

Lets be honest, whats to say it's not coincidence that 200 high performance jap cars turn up in London on the same night?!?! ;)

Every March, Miss Banzai organise a tunnel run in London in aid of charity. Is a wicked night.

We missed 2012, but did go to 2011. Left Bristol at 4pm, arrived back at 7am. Was a long night!!

Yea, the tunnel runs are facing issues, but none of us care. I've lost track how many tunnel runs I do, even just for fun. Lol

Gayno, you should come to the graffiti tunnel as well if you're in London :)

If I'm in town Dom, it will be for the tunnel run, don't think there's much chance for stopping at graffiti tunnel.

We may stop at a mates house after so will still be around on Sunday, but I guess it's not as good in the daylight?!
