New Record MPG :D

Post by macky_6 » Wed Jan 02, 2013 4:24 pm

Hey all!

Got myself a set of Continental Sport Contacts 225/45/16 and took them for a road test . For the record, the tyres are superb! Massive improvement on the various type of 215/35/18 i was running. Car is transformed

So much so, that i managed a new record low of 9.60 MPG

Recorded using the Road Trip Lite App. Quite a useful wee tool :D

Can anyone beat that?

:D

I'm more intrigued as to hoe you fitted 16" tyres to an 18" rim ;)

44.5

I managed 300 miles on 3/4 the other week going to Gatwick and back. Usually I'm lucky to see 300 to a full tank.

When the traffic cleared up on my old commute during the school holidays I'd end up getting like 22mpg from a tank :vtec: when the traffic returned I'd go back up to about 30 mpg

The Prelude is going into work to get it's MOT done tomorrow. I've got so much VTEC to get out my system, I reckon I might top 9.60 mpg
