shame. this one game could have made me buy a gamebox. I used to love the old arcade game. loads to do on that.

Hardmeat is not smart as such but it should not be 'easy' to kill them. I was hoping they might have got inventive for once. oh well.

My pre-order copy arrived yesterday morning, played it for around 15 mins last night. Had I not have been the wrong side of a bottle of red wine I may have gotten into it.

It looked pretty good, and had my heart racing everytime the motion tracker pinged.

I never saw an alien because being slightly pissed it was a little spooky and I switched off the PS3 (proper games console).

Even if it's a flop, hopefully as a mindless kill everything kind of a game it will appeal to my love of the whole aliens saga.

I've not got it yet. I've still got quite a few games in my steam list to get through yet. I'll wait till it comes down in price a bit.
I saw someone on my facebook say that even though the reviews slated it. that he loved it.

I have now spent a little more time on this game this afternoon.

I can appreciate some of the comments I read in the reviews like the cheesy american accented stuff that the marines say, they could have thought some more about the dialogue.

No issues yet with the graphics, the reviews said that the xeno's wave their arms above then when they run at you, this is rubbish, perhaps they need a better console.

They also say that it's too easy - this also is rubbish, these aliens don't exactly jump out at you as such, you can see them coming. But they move really fast, especially when they're close to you. You find yourself spinning 360 degrees to relocate them.

If you're a massive aliens fan like me, the experience has your hands sweating and your toes curled over, the sound of the motion tracker and the M41A pulse rifle are awesome. It's a little like the Williams F1 V10 engine to an F1 fan (Youtube Williams V10 and wear headphones)

The close encounters are brilliant, and when you get your face empaled by a Xeno it looks pretty realistic, the music just adds to the excitement.

Like I said in a post above, if you want to shoot aliens with all the movie born weapons, it does that well (so far) but it probably lacks the sophistication of modern games.

Tempted to get this for the Wii U when it comes out next month, having the motion tracker in your hand on the gamepad would be pretty cool. 8-)

I was interested in this but there was no previews be because the developer put an NDA on the reviewers until its release date......that always sets off alarm bells for me.

I got my copy today, so far its not bad!

the graphics could have been miles better and they could have put a bit more thought into it but even for a movie enthusiast this game hit the right buttons and i even had a shriek-like-a-geek moment !

the sound of the motion sensor and the pulse rifle are soo much like the movie and the xenomorphs are pretty well done.... and they are RAPID !
i started the game on the hardest difficulty (adds to fear factor) and isnt as easy as the reviews say.. its fecking solid !
the controls are pretty much the exect same as call of duty games so if you play them then i suppose it will make thing a bit easier.

ive only just completed the first mission and im fairly impressed ;)
it does have its flaws but an overall decent game.

ive not played as the xenos yet.. soo looking forward to that as in AVP the game it was my favorite character ;)

So is it worth getting in a couple of months when it's half price on steam?

Is there multiplayer, Marines Vs Aliens both human controlled? how many players per side if so?
