4th gen JDM rear number plate size

I ordered the same size I always order (7"x13") and it doesn't fit, as its a touch too tall.
If I get a 6.5" will it squeeze in there?
If I get a 6" will it be tall enough to reach the bolt holes?

My rear plate is 330mm x 165mm (13" x 6½"). It's a perfect fit.

Whilst we're on the topic, are my suspisions correct that a 13" x 6.5" will fit the front plate holder?
