Exactly the reason my car doesn't go near a car park!
On the brightside though, it could have been worse, at least it's only a door.

Not a car park as such, private car park for hotel. We managed to get here, have a cup of tea, went out to unload the gear and in that time she'd hit it...

Well try as I might I couldn't get to talk to her, but without saying too much until it's sorted, I have all the relevant details and a signed statement from an independent witness that they did it and admitted fault, to said witness.
It
should be cut and dried according to my insurance co, but I don't want to count my chickens as it were...

Sorry to see that mate

I have a matching one on my passenger side from exactly the same circumstances.
I take the Citroen if I'm going to the shops now as that's already been mullered, I only use my other cars for work and for days out. I'll ocassionally risk taking them to sainsburys as at my local one there's 2 isolated bays out of the way that rarely get used, I just straddle both of them to prevent anyone parking beside me
on a similar note, don't you hate it when you deliberately park miles away from the shop in an empty corner of the car park, and then you come out to find that some kebab has parked right next to you
