Ok, just some idle thinking here...
How does the 220 Turbo Coupe gearbox compare to one of our Honda LSD gearboxes (M2B4 etc)?
Had a look round on line and can't find out anything about them particularly.
Anyone know if one's ever been fitted to a H22 Prelude? (I'm assuming it could done, i.e. bell housing matches etc)

Interesting idea. Wouldn't the ratios be a bit long if it's on a turbo tho?

It was a Honda gearbox design for Rover (800-on) IIRC.
That's the clue; it's designed for clockwise engines (C25-32, Rover M & T series) and you'll have the fastest-revesing 'Lude in the West...

Ok, but what else do we know about the gearbox? I.e. how good it would be/what advantages/disadvantages it would have?
(And Phil (I think its Phil?) is looking at reversing his engine rotation, so that in itself is a solvable problem?)

just reversing the rotation of the engine wont mean the engine will be as powerfull as it was beforehand as the head wont flow the same

Ok but back to the point, just intrigued if anyone has a view on what's different about the gearbox, any benefits over a Honda LSD box etc.
I seem to recall it being touted as really advanced when it was introduced.

Torsen LSD in it I think. Is it based on the PG1?
