for months now i have had the week prior to japfest booked as holiday. This was to give me plenty of time to sort out some niggles on the lude and give it a darn good detailing inside and out. Today i was approached by my manager to supervise a team and cover first aid duties. But its for 7 weeks and late shift. 22 percent shift premium added. So i agreed to take on the team and the shift, thinking of the extra money to spend at japfest or on the lude. Ooh my god!!! Japfest? I checked my holiday chart and ... Bugger the new shift clashes with the holiday. So i spoke to my manager about the holiday and basically he has nobody else with the skil set to cover, and if i couldnt do all of it we are at risk of losing the contract. 586k in sales. So i had no real choice. So at the risk of my car not looking at its best i have to now choose just a few of items to concentrate on. Grr. Nathan you cant park near me at japfest this year.

That sucks :( Though for a sec then I thought you were going to say you weren't going to make it at all! ... So I'm relieved

Mind you, when do you have to start this particular shift. Japfest isn't far off, can you take a week off now instead to sort the niggles?

nope. Told today at 10.30. Start Monday 2pm. I can do small and often sessions on the lude but the idea was to use my mates garage for the week, leaving it over night. Any unprepared paint then wouldnt get wet.

Late shift is not so bad as you have most of the day to work on the lude. Think of it as 7 weeks of daylight lude working! :D
