So,
Just had the call from our solicitors, house completion has finally arrived, next weekend.
Next weekend also happens to be the weekend of my mates stag do to Newcastle.
So do I stay and finally move in to my first house, or, do I go on the stag face the wrath of the Mrs when I get back?
I've already paid £200 towards the stag but it's going to cost that again in food & drink easy

Yeah, not really fair on the Mrs to go on the pop and leave her to do all the work, plus you may get back and she's painted the living room pink.

If he's a proper mate, he will fully understand that moving house is more important than his stag do.

House move!! I can't think of anything better than owning your own place

I can't wait to move out myself, so that when neighbors complain about the cars I own I can tell them to go drokk themselves without fear of getting booted out of my rented place
If you do go on the stag do then is the house move off, or does it just mean Mrs Alex will have to move in by herself?

And have you been explicitly banned from going if it doesn't jeopardise getting the new house? I only ask as my rule of thumb is if it hasn't been made completely clear in no uncertain terms that my gf doesn't want me doing something then I do it anyway and remain adamant I can't be held accountable for my actions
I can't believe she's not left me yet

She can't do anything unless I'm there. I've got the car

and she won't drive the moving van.
Trouble is, she was planning a meal out with her friends for what was supposed to be one of the completion dates and I told her she couldn't go if the completion comes through. I'd feel like a gentleman's sausage leaving her on her own after saying that.

Stag do every time. The house will still be there when you get back.
