I swear my lude is fricken cursed!
Great day at Mimms today. But on the way back I had a mishap.
I actually can't believe what happened.
I was driving along the M6 north, around J2. The carriagways were pretty clear. Where out of what seemed nowhere, What I THINK was a wheel of a baby's pushchair or something similar came rolling across the the carriageway  There wasn't any cars nearby that I could of fell off, it just seemed to roll out from the hardshoulder.
I tired to aviod it, to no avail and with an almighty clatter, it went under the back wheel. I thought it had done some serious damage the sound it made. I thought oh crap my rear bumpers gonna be hanging off or my sideskirts going to be in half or something.
So I pulled over at the next services to assess. A quick examine of the rear of the car revealed no noticable damage. Phew, I thought. Will get it on the ramp at my local garage to have a look at the underneath this week though.
I went into the services while I was there, on the way back to the car I noticed it. Light damage to the front lip. It's cracked the drivers side corner and took a few chunks out. Also it's got a piece of paint thats starting to peel aaway :(
I was only saying at the meet that I've already had to have the lip repaired like 4 times already. Famous last words

Aww Mart :(

Kind of relieved though... From that title and with the recent influx of similar threads, I was expecting you to say "write off" :?

Still sucks though :(

Yeah I suppose it's not really that bad in the grand scheme of things really. It just seems it's one thing after another just chipping away

Sorry to hear that mate :( makes you wonder if somebody rolled it from a bank :?

Some scary jobby can happen on the motorway - a couple of months ago I was involved in an incident where an oncoming van came over the central reservation of the M23 on it's side. I was in the overtaking lane and was the first car to meet him, luckily I had time to react and he came to a halt a few car lengths behind me. I couldn't sleep that night though

if it had been a 5th gen it would have been a write off but insurance companies are now recognising the collectability of a 4th gen and insurance values for them are now going through the roof

bad luck mart but 4 is gonna be 5 then 6 then..............
its all part of the ownership programme
