Mitsubishi FTO

Anyone know much about these? My Dad and I have been offered an M reg Jap import 2 litre tiptronic model for £350. It looks fairly clean and has got T&T too. I know nothing about these cars though
Are they any good?

@lewd lude lover's other half had one before the horses ate it. I think his words were FT slow too but he's driven one and knows a bit more about it.

Are they even twin cam?
Tbh from the research I've been doing, JDM H22A 4th gens seem to be the most powerful coupe you can get for under a grand readily. Even the 2.5 V6 Mazda lump I was looking at produced less peak power and torque than a JDM H22A

Stating obvious here, but haven't they got an owners site you dig around on??
It's jap and I've not heard any horror stories,,, how bad could it be? Check for usual stuff and I'd recon you'd be ok.

Friends punto gt pretty standard aps destroyed my friends fto trip with same basic mods. This is on a daul laned road to as to giv the fto a good change. Ft'slow under statement. Looks good sounds ok sort of lol. Get a bb4!

Loads of you guys have owned a lot of cars over the years, I thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any hands on experience
Tbh I'm not too keen on an auto, but I thought at £350 it's worth a peep

Sounds like the FTO is pretty jobby then
