Roof scoop??

I drove past this impreza the other day, and had to stop and take a picture.
WTF is that scoop/vent on the roof? the only thing i have ever seen like it are the cold air scoops you sometimes see on mr2's.

If its fuctional they usually direct air into the cabin.

i thought it was he worked out the big sign saying "look at me! i'm a knob" wasn't aerodynamic
so he fitted this instead

Yes he did and I believe they were stuck on so no function other that the chav look

Amazing that (if it is functional) someone would go to all that trouble to direct air into the cabin when they are sat next to a window...
