New Desktop PC help

Hello everyone,

My desktop PC that I've had for the past 4-5 years is finally started to die. It only has 1GB ram and now when I'm on photoshop and other program's the computer slowly dies or takes ages.

I want a cheap desktop pc with reasonable power and handling for me to use softwares such as photoshop and Adobe Premier etc.

I need one with graphic card, 8+gb ram, good processor and aound £300-400. I don't need to have a huge amount of hard drive space as I've already got a big external hard drive plus I don't need a screen as I can use my old one and I can use my bedroom tv as a screen too.

I've been looking on eBay and I've found this:

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... ID=EBAY-GB

Is that a good enough or does anyone have any other recommendations??

Thanks for any help guys.

Nitin.

have a look on misco and dabs as well.

EDIT: the EBAY link does not have an O/S (windows etc) with it.

Looking purely at the specs, doesn't look too bad for the money, though I'd be inclined to upgrade to a dedicated graphics card, rather than on-board graphics.

Also, that one doesn't come with an operating system, if you hadn't accounted for it.

I can get a copy of the operating system after.

I'll look at Misco now.

Whatever you buy make sure you have enough cash for an SSD, I have SSD's in all my computers, home, media centre and two at work. Upgraded parents comp to an SSD also and they constantly mention how fast it now feels!

@indigolemon your services are required here Sir!

I got a bare bones system a year or so back, that Graham found for me, for about your budget and it flies along. Quite often have 30 odd images open at once in pshop and Ive just started editing full HD vids, no issues whatsoever 8-)

I'd be looking at something like: http://www.novatech.co.uk/products/bare ... 8004a.html

Then, if you need to, up the RAM. It can handle upto 32Gb. You could also add a discreet graphics card if required, make sure it's an AMD card, and it will work in tandem with the one built into the processor.
