Anyone else think they might be a little alcohol dependent?

Not like crazy amounts, or even very strong liquour or pissed ever. None of these three alcohol related factors do I search out. In fact the last time I was pissed was this febuary so I am not a binger or fallabout the place of an evening kinda guy.

I drink Carlsberg at home, probably the most inoffensive lager in the world. Cooking lager as I call it. 2-3 cans a night. Spirits make me sick, YUK.

But it has to be said, that the first swig on a can come beer'o'clock (between 6-7) makes my legs feel heavy, my belly warm and my brain switch's over into evening mode. I know its time to put dinner on and forget the day. Without it I think i might have a bit of a tetchy evening but I wouldn't know as I have pretty much drank every eve for years.

Am I in good company being a daily drinker? Am I infact a bit of a light weight with my measily 5 units per day? Do you also consider the health implications of this kind of gentle abuse? or could you care less?

Or are we lude owners generally a sober lot :? and I am sounding like a lounge lizard alcohomoholic?

I like a beer but not to be drunk. When does this become an issue?

Anyway, you lot are a good sounding board for most things so I thought I would inject a little bit of other stuff to banter about. Thoughts?

I also tend to drink 2-3 cans a night either fosters or thatchers gold depending on the weather or what's on offer lol. I very rarely drink much more than this and the times that I do I then don't tend to drink for a few days. I do find it helps me to switch off and relax a bit more but that's probably in my head

being serious though if your drinking every night it could cause health problems they are not all caused by binge drinking

I am a spirit binge drinker. Only drink to get drunk. For the price of a night's alcohol you can have a few interesting evenings via other vices without the groggy head and alcohol jobbies the next morning.

IMO you don't have a problem.

I did a lot of product testing when I was younger  the naafi was so cheap and 12-15 pints and a pint of vodka at last orders wasn't unusual  then in the legion it was practically regulation to drink the only force I know that has an official beer!!. I don't drink too much now by choice as I find the more I drink the less I can endure knobheads especially those who cant hold there liquer.

I just looked at the 'recommended' units per week and I'm only a bit over that so I guess my perception of drink is more than my consumption  :?

I need to try harder.

Try stopping for a couple of weeks. You'll soon know if you have a problem. :ugeek:
