Well guys and ... one or two girls we have left.. I see a few guys have turned into pussies recently!!

I need your help..

I'm going to Japshow and Saturday I want to do some drag racing.. not done it for awhile.. best time so far... 14.1 and a 60ft time of 2.1.. the 60ft time is pretty good tbh so this is my thinking.. 2 things.. my gear changes are too slow.. tbh.. thats a yes!! but am I losing out on drag low/high pressure etc etc so..... My question... should i put a spoiler on? or should i leave it spoilerless...??

If i put a spoiler on its only going to be a standard 5th gen prelude one ...

Thanks

Matt

I very much doubt you would notice any sort of difference in the time with and without. Unless you got 2 perfect runs where EVERYTHING was the same, then you wouldn't be able to tell the minimal difference.

Also, i would have thought that no spoiler would be better for a FWD car. You want to keep the front end down. Fitting a spoiler will cause the airflow to push the rear down and in turn lift the front up.

Also your car looks awesome without it so leave it off.

I don't know what terminal speed you're getting but I guess it can't be far into three figures. Surely you're not going to get too much downforce at that speed, and anyway, isn't that for stability rather than speed? So you're just getting extra drag with little or no effective benefit?

Feel free to re-educate me as this this is all just presumption! :D

Anyway, 5th's often look better without the spoiler (Especially with the right wheels and colour) so I say No!

No spoiler > stock spoiler

Mugen/S-Spec/Type-S spoiler > no spoiler > stock spoiler

In my opinion..
