How Many Numbers Are There?

Debate I was having with Mrs Gayno t'other night (yes, our life is THAT exciting).
How many numbers are there?
I say ten - 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 and 9 and that all other numbers are only able to be because of the first ten.
She says infinite, all numbers are there own number.
What do you think?

There are 27 numbers.
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100,200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900

Infinite, because 31 is a number.

But your logic only works because you are counting in base 10.
In that instance, you are correct, but it is a very limiting perspective.

I say ten only because ur using the same number again when u go higher then 9

yep 0 to 9 only all other numbers can be made from that

What about base16?
