Speeding ticket!

Just came through the door, was clocked doing 61 in a 50 zone.
Apparently I may be given the option to take an awareness course in place of the points and fine.
Anybody done one of these courses and how much are they normally? I don't have any points atm so adding 3 will obviously affect my insurance, but by how much I don't know.

Damn pesky mobile speed traps!

Naughty boy.

IIRC the awareness thing will set you back more than the fine, and it is a few hours of sitting in a room... but should outweigh the cost of increased insurance + the fine. Just do it, better to have a clean card IMO ;)

Depending on your age your insurance will go sky high, definately worth doing the course. My mate done one, can't remember how much few hundred quid. Well worth it though in the long run.

I've done the awareness course!
I think it cost about £90. Can't quite remember.

Sit in a classroom for 4 hours with another 20 odd criminals = clean licence.

Hmmm. Probably do the course just to keep it clean. Bit annoyed, technically it's the governments fault for charging so much for petrol - hence the speeding as I was coasting down a long hill ;)

This.

You have to be able not to disagree with the baseless/loaded propaganda for that time, in order to pass, though.

Bad luck on winning the reverse National Lottery, though.
