So iv been mega busy as of late renovating my new flat i bought but had time to go see my brother the other day which turned into the same old debate over JDM vs VAG (he is a VW nut) now we are both mighty car mod fans and it happened to be on at the time just playing on his tv as we had a takeaway, and on came the nissan vs Subaru episode. So we decided this is what we will do to settle this argument a little battle between my car and his and the loser will have to have his next project be the brand of the others car so he would have to get and modify a toyota or me a VW we set this up by getting my mate to sit in a layby about 1/2 up a (private) road from a slip road we would both come down the sliproad 3 sounds of the horn then we go from 30 mph.

now the cars involved were: Toyota celica gt4 (312 bhp) vs MK4 golf with tuned 1.8t Bam engine out of an audi tt (282 bhp)

we were both mega confident and made it clear that we were both serious about the other one swapping cars to one of the other brand and both taking it mega serious so then about 1:30am came and we both rolled out

and in the end there was only a car length in it literally back bumper to about drivers door but the winner was.......

Neil in his golf so he made me put an advert up for my celica and it is now for sale still not decided what VW to get iv never even thought about it before

See if you can get a cheap super charged corrado. Went in my mates 2.9 turbo the other day. Jheez it pulls like a train!

You could keep the bargain but at the same time get your own back on him by buying his favourite golf and Barry boying it!

Don't get me wrong, I love my VW's... But the build quality isn't amazing compared to my similar aged Honda's. Throw in that VAG 'reliability' and it's a no brainer for me, jap every time. I own my VW's because they look cool, and because I have Japanese cars I can drive when the German stuff takes a jobby

So don't sell your Celica!! Just disown your brother

Don't sell the GT4
it is worth 10x any of the Vag bits of crap and will only get higher Vag's are 2 a penny and will just get cheaper

Vag as said gets jobby loads of problems and are a pain to work on, just buy a cheap ass 1.8t anything and map it and upgrade the turbo put some shiny wheels on tell him your done and sell it to a chav muppet job done
