..the more I see of these, the more I want one - but I want one without 4ws and with an H22 conversion.
I have an engine, does anyone know how difficult a conversion this would be?

No - you want one WITH 4WS. Mechanical 4WS on the 3G is one of the best things ever invented by man. You really need to try it before deciding you don't want it!
Conversion-wise - you need engine mounts, and if you can start with a fuel injected 3G your life will be a lot easier.

Fair play, I always thought the mechanical 4WS wouldn't be that good.
Is it possible to use the engine mounts from a 4g?
To be fair though, all this is moot as I can't find a cheap one anyway!

this one is a bit of a cracker as well. But Westerham is just as far away as Surrey ..he would deliver it to me for £450!!!

Generally I don't like "extras" in a car. I don't like the idea of a 4th gen having 4WS, not because it's electronic, just because I want a solid back end.
But I absolutely love the 4WS on my 3rd! It's simply bliss!

I do like that colour

White 3rd gen just don't do it for me (I'll probably get flogged now).
