looking to upgrade my graphics card but have no idea whats decent at the moment! dont really wanna spend more than £300 on one but want a decent one

any ideas?

edit - forgot to say ive got a amd hd 6800 at the moment

amd quad core 640 @ 3ghz
1200w psu
windows 7 ultimate

If you can wait then the new AMD 9000 series are being released sometime in October I believe and might be worth seeing what they do to the price of current gen cards.

Otherwise something like a 3GB 7950 (what I have) should see you pretty safe for a while and costs below £200. No point spending any more because most games will be limited by your CPU at that point. I have a 7950 and Intel Q6600 which is near-as-damnit the same performance as your AMD640, and the CPU bottlenecks almost everything.
