No water :cry: must be frozen up outside where it comes in.
Didnt realise it was that cold last night. Best melt some snow lol

Should do, will certainly help. Keep an eye on all your pipes though.

Running water is less likely to freeze

Was -11 here last night and not been above -5 all day in the shade

A random Canadian told me the keep your taps dripping over night to prevent freezing however be careful if your on a meter if tgou pay rates leave them running

Make sure you know exactly where the stopcock is.
If you have a burst pipe, you'll only know about it when the ice returns to liquid.

When we were getting similar cold temps last year the houses from 50 onwards were all without water as the pipes in the street froze. See if your neighbours have water. If so then it may be a case of heating the pipe before the stopcock. A fella at work used to get out a hairdryer and heat the pipe up when it was freezing outside! :P

cheers chaps left taps open and after about 3 hours have it running, looks like another cold one tonight though
