I posted on here a few weeks I sold my Lude

Its being replaced by a cheap family friendly 4x4 that my wife will drive. I have paid a deposit and booked my train tickets to Cheadle Hulme for this Saturday and all being well I will be travelling back to Glasgow in a Nissan X-Trail. Dont get me wrong - Deal not completely done but im hopeful it wont end like my 500mile last minute jaunt to Leeds that ended fruitless a few weeks ago :x

Anyone needing anything shuttled North? I can meet on services M6 etc?

indeed Merc.
Glasgow to Cheadle Hulme is £31 so cheaper than driving and less tiring too! Dont suppose you have seen this sellers compound/stock? Comms have been exceptionally positive and seems a genuine guy.

According to the train times its approx 2.30. I believe the seller is meeting me there. Like I say from comms seems a very nice guy and feedback on cars he has sold on Ebay have been positive.

Been there before tho. A week last Sunday made a last minute jaunt to Leeds to see a similar X-Trail. Bodywork/Interior was excellent for year but engine (49k miles and backed by HPi) was an absolute dog - hunting on idle and when i checked the oil black as night and the smallest fraction registering on the sump. Further inspection found a pool of oil in the spare wheel cavity and evidence underneath the engine that it had been dropping oil. Clearly previous owner was keeping a bottle of oil in the cavity and topping regularly. Seller (eastern european trader) tried spinning sh1te about us revving it to hard and oil had left sump to lube engine! Someone has been duped tho- no longer advertised for sale
