Best way to sell a new phone

Hi folks,

I've got a new Samsung Galaxy S3 16gb that I want to sell. It's brand new and sealed in box, but I'm not sure of the best place to sell it. eBay is the obvious one, but a couple of mobile phone places have offered enough to tempt me to send it in. igadgetsrecycled have offered £180 for a new phone, but after reading their reviews they seem a bit hit and miss. Surely they can't try and knock me down on the price of a phone which hasn't been removed from the box though? :? alternately, is there any companies that people could recommend? I'd like to get about £160+ for the phone really, as it's brand spanking new.

Cheers,
Josh

O2 recycle. Not seen anywhere else that gives you more. Doesn't have to be an O2 phone. Sold them 3 iphones in the last 2 months and they've been spot on every time.

I've just had a look, and they seem like a good option. Free return of phone if not happy, and they're a reputable company. £157 for the phone isn't far off what I wanted, just a shame they don't seem to take into consideration the fact that the phone is new!

Go in store and talk to them, you'll get a better deal. At least in my experience ;)

You mean I'm going to have to leave my house?! :o But this is the age of the interwebz!

Guess I could trek over to Brighton at some point and see what they'll do for me. Was there much variation in price when you paid a visit in person?

Just sell it straight through Amazon on to an end user you mean? Or do Amazon buy the goods off you?

Just like ebay but list it on amazon. The percentage they take is lower than ebay/paypal.

I ended up selling it through O2 Recycle online as I'm impatient  They offered £157, and then I used their price match thing and sent a request for them to match Asda's quote of £166.10 - will have to see how it goes!

My Galaxy Tab just sold for £155 too 8-) Was hoping to plough all this back into the Preludes, but guess it's going on Laura's new car now

on ebay and as fast as you can. I got 450 for my galaxy s2 when it came out. Paid for the whole contract cost and I had a handset I liked already. two years of basically free phone usage.

how come its not worth that? has it been out for a while? I dont keep up on smart phones as i dont think they help people to be smart.
