i have fitted the larger bushing onto the bonnet stay/rod - i just made a cut in it on one side using a hacksaw and prised it open so it fitted on no problem.

now why didnt i think of that

Im sure someone did a write up using this type of grommet - think it was CARRisma but cant find the post

thanks for posting up - that was few years ago so no wonder i couldnt find the post

time flies....

looks like you have to slot the bushing for it to fit on a 4th gen bonnet stay - might also to have dremel a mm or two out the body work - im hoping that rust has done that job for me already on the BB4
