Neither will affect the folding mirrors. They run of a separate system that's in the passeger door. Mirror box is black with a green plug. 7 wires from memory.

ok so heres what i am planning i have a uk car i will be fitting folding mirrors to which box do i need to achieve this , i have the mirrors already think i need to see what else i have as i brought these a while ago now

You will already have the prelude locking system. It's a simple central locking with the key. Some Jdm preludes have infrared system but even most of those don't work now as it's contained within the key and has extra relays added to the dash loom.

For the power folds you need the mirrors, power fold relay(not the locking relay) and switch. Most needs to be wired in.

i have added a after market remote central locking so thats that problem sorted just need to check what i have to do the folding mirrors .

yes the black folding mirror box goes in the passenger door and is smaller than the central locking boxes that go in the drivers door. I dont think there was ever a black central locking box just in case thats confused things a bit

Yea same as vanzep. Never seen a black locking one. There's white and green for definite.

bennyboy could you put a pic up of the blue and the black one please. Positive neither of these are to do with the locking.
