5th Gen Mid Height Rear Spoiler Wing

That's not completely true. For OEM stock wing there are holes identical as with midwing for screws, but midwing has one additional adjustable bolt on it. So you have to drill one additional hole on the right side. But position of others are the same. One guys in Poland (Stosek) simply cut off this metal bolt from wing, but I decided to keep mine like it should be so I drilled one

I bought a 2nd hand ukdm boot lid with the standard spoiler. The mid wing was a straight swap.

Maybe your Midwing already had this additional bolt removed? I was shocked when I saw that I had to drill additional hole in my trunk lid and I asked Stosek about it. We unmounted his Midwing and we noticed that his "3rd bolt" was simply cut off by previous owner of wing..

I have noticed that too on some of the normal OEM spoilers I have fitted, the 3rd bolt. I chopped the 3rd bolt off.

So, we have another mystery. Why some normal ones had it, while others didn't have it. It should be the same model of wing.

I had the 3rd bolt on both wings all original.

I had to remove the third bolt to fit the S-Spec spoiler as I didn't fancy drilling any more holes in the boot.

Once all fitted I had another problem of a third leg in my trousers.

I didn't fancy drilling fresh holes in a boot lid (maybe start to get rusty etc etc) so just took out the extra third bolt and did a straight swap.
